"World Food Movement, formerly known as Sattvic Meals Foundation, announced that they have served over 10,000 free, nutritious meals to students. The Milpitas-based nonprofit aims to address hunger anxiety in community colleges. They have previously provided hot vegetarian meals for West Valley College students in Saratoga. The nonprofit has also partnered with De Anza College in Cupertino, Foothill College in Los Altos Hills and Chabot College in Hayward to provide meals at those campuses. Across all four colleges, they have served 10,258 hot meals."
"The West Valley Muslim Association will be holding a maker's market on Jan. 31. The Maker's Souq will be showing off handmade, personally designed goods from local artisans, crafters and creators. The event will be held at 16769 Farley Rd. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Saratoga Library is hosting a free workshop on Feb. 7 to teach people how to plant and care for fruit trees. Orchard Keepers will be leading the workshop outdoors in the city's Heritage Orchard, which they manage."

Successful Aging Solutions & Community Consulting will host a Valentine's luncheon and cash bingo on Feb. 12 and a Feb. 18 workshop to educate older adults about scams.
