The shift to AI tools accelerated during COVID-19 pandemic disruptions, revealing underlying issues in the education system, especially regarding equitable access and support. While the focus is often on cheating, AI also aids research and essay structuring. The author emphasizes the complexity of these trends, urging a deeper understanding of the educational context that has led to the current reliance on AI among students.
