"My parents did pretty well preparing me academically for college,"
"And I have to say I never found college particularly challenging in any way. I'm not even sure I found it socially challenging."
"My parents always told me that you shouldn't make college the be-all and end-all of your life,"
"I realize my life is really different from a lot of my friends who went to their dream school and have just still tons of student loan debt."
Homeschooling enrollment is increasing across the United States. Sarah Nagle was homeschooled by both parents in California from age 10 through college and achieved strong academic results. Personalized lessons matched her learning pace and interests and produced high performance on national tests. Her parents did not push elite-college attendance, enabling her to attend the University of Texas at Austin on scholarship and later transfer to San Francisco State University without taking student loans. The absence of student debt differentiates her from many peers. Nagle now runs a jewelry design business that generated nearly $29,000 in September and over $115,500 year-to-date.
