Female CU Boulder professors win back pay in settlement
Briefly

CU Boulder is committed to providing fair and equitable wages to all employees across all disciplines. The university will conduct a campus-wide salary equity analysis every three years.
The equity review in 2021 found that 386 female faculty members, many at the top of their fields, were paid less than male counterparts, highlighting persistent gender pay disparities.
Despite identifying women affected by the gender pay gap, CU Boulder only implemented raises without giving back pay, which violated state and federal laws.
CU Boulder denies all allegations of wrongdoing yet has opted for a settlement to mitigate expenses and avoid the inconvenience of continued litigation.
