On its 160th anniversary, Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas, announced a generous $50 million gift from alumni Greg and Ronda Brenneman. This donation will significantly enhance health education at the university, funding a new facility that integrates various health disciplines. Additionally, the Brennemans' contribution will transform existing schools, naming the business school after them and the nursing school in honor of Ronda's late sister. Their philanthropy reflects a long-standing commitment to the university and its community, supporting leadership and educational initiatives for future generations.
“We are honored and humbled to be able to make this gift to, among other things, turbocharge Washburn's ability to reimagine healthcare education using state of the art technology in a new building,” Greg Brenneman said.
“Since graduating from Washburn, the Brennemans have achieved remarkable success in their own lives yet have consistently returned to our campus to share their time, resources, wisdom and innovative vision for future leaders,” Washburn president JuliAnn Mazachek said.
