All of that [rain] leads to increased vegetation and growth, which ultimately releases pollen into the air. And it's those tree and grass pollens that are causing our allergies this time of year.
This is typically our busy season, but it does feel particularly worse... We had later rain that may have delayed some of the pollen releases as well. That could be contributing to why we're seeing an increase or worsening in symptoms right now.
For patients that are very sensitive, [it] can be pretty significant and impactful on their quality of life.
