A new study involving over 9,400 dog owners found no significant health benefits in designer crossbreeds like Cockapoos and Labradoodles compared to purebreds.
The risk of vomiting and diarrhoea was notably higher in Cockapoos, Labradoodles, and Cavapoos than in their parent breed, Poodles, highlighting the misconception of improved health.
The findings of the Royal Veterinary College suggest that potential dog owners should focus on expected health issues and breed suitability rather than crossbreed status.
