An unnamed 2-year-old girl was brought to Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick, New South Wales, after three weeks of nausea, vomiting and cold-like symptoms, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported.
After she passed, medical tests revealed that she carried a severe strain of avian paramyxovirus-1 APMV-1, which causes Newcastle disease.
