This article discusses the formative steps taken to address logo animation challenges, leveraging a mixed methods approach. It includes interviews with experienced motion designers to gather insights on current practices and tools. The research focuses on understanding the role of motion presets that allow customization in consumer design tools while balancing creativity with ease of use. By analyzing these design challenges, the study aims to improve the development of generative tools for logo animations, highlighting the importance of user-centered design in this domain.
