
Alana Enahoro has been selected as the first TD Diverse Communities Art & Design Fellow, a one-year paid educational program supporting emerging artists and designers from diverse communities who face barriers to the industry. She joins The Walrus’s multidisciplinary art department and will create visual work for Editorial, Marketing, and Digital teams. Enahoro is a Humber College Graphic Design graduate with self-taught illustration experience and a focus on social impact and community engagement. She will be mentored and trained by The Walrus’s design director to build a portfolio covering editorial story layouts, multimedia content, illustrations, and print production understanding. The fellowship continues efforts to address underrepresentation of journalists and artists from diverse communities across Canada’s media industry.
