Chancellor Olaf Scholz of the SPD has taken a clear stance against delivering Taurus missiles to Ukraine, expressing fear that it could lead to German entanglement in the war against Russia.
In a joint essay, Green Party's Anton Hofreiter and CDU's Norbert Rottgen accused Scholz of 'catastrophic defeatism' and of making a 'factually and legally false' claim about the Taurus deliveries involving Germany in the war.
