The Seddülbahir Fortress, located on the Gallipoli Peninsula, was built in the mid-17th century to safeguard the Dardanelles Strait. It was funded by Hatice Turhan Sultan, the mother of Sultan Mehmet IV. This strategic site, known as 'the Wall of the Sea,' withstood natural disasters and military bombardment during World War I before continuing as a military outpost until 1997. Following that, efforts for documentation, restoration, and re-use of the fortress were initiated, aiming to preserve this historic landmark.
