Pro Asyl has filed a lawsuit against Germany’s foreign and interior ministers over the deportation of Afghan refugees by Pakistani authorities. The suit claims that these individuals, with guaranteed refugee status in Germany, have been unlawfully sent back to Afghanistan. This action endangers their lives as they face threats such as arbitrary arrest and abuse. The organization asserts that the German government has left these refugees in precarious conditions in Pakistan without necessary visas, highlighting governance failures in protecting their rights.
The suit, filed with the Berlin public prosecutor's office, accuses both ministers of failing to protect the rights of Afghan refugees deported by Pakistani authorities.
