NY Islanders D Marshall Warren impresses in homecoming game at UBS Arena
"Marshall Warren's NHL journey came full circle Tuesday night when the Laurel Hollow native skated in his first home game with the New York Islanders at UBS Arena. Warren, 24, has already appeared in three NHL games this season, but all of them came on the road. That changed when the Islanders hosted the New Jersey Devils, giving the Long Island product a homecoming that included a sizable cheering section of friends and family."
"Warren earned his second recall of the season on Dec. 18 after making his NHL debut with two games in late October. Between recalls, he returned to the Islanders' AHL affiliate in Bridgeport, where he recorded six points (one goal, five assists) in 12 games. Islanders defenseman Adam Pelech praised Warren's energy and competitiveness since rejoining the lineup. "His compete level is super high," Pelech said. "He's fast, strong, and he brings a lot of energy. He's been a welcome addition.""
