Marvel Rivals Charging $6 To Recolor Your Costumes
Briefly

Marvel Rivals, a free-to-play game from NetEase, has introduced a recoloring system for character skins, costing $6 per skin. While the game has been popular on console and PC, it has faced challenges leading to layoffs. The new currency, Unstable Molecules, is specifically for unlocking color options, and purchasing them is intertwined with other currencies available, making the system complex. Players currently need to convert a premium currency to obtain Unstable Molecules, raising concerns over accessibility and cost for customizing characters.
Since launching late last year, the free-to-play from NetEase has been a massive hit across console and PC. Not a big enough hit to avoid layoffs, though.
Currently, the only way to get more Unstable Molecules is by converting Lattice, a premium-only currency, into the new color-changing currency.
