Leaked Wipeout source code leads to near-total rewrite and remaster
Briefly

The source code for the original Wipeout game on Windows has been leaked and rewritten by developer Dominic Szablewski.
Szablewski rewrote the game's rendering, physics, and sound, among other things.
Most of the leaked code came from a lackluster Windows port bundled with ATI GPUs.
The original source code was a mess with fragments from different platforms and shaky patches.
Szablewski's rewrite reduced the code from 40,699 lines to 7,731 and improved performance.
