"Following a Direct in February and a Pokémon-focused event last week, Nintendo returned today with a showcase focused on indie games. And it ended with a big one: the absorbing, room-shifting puzzle game Blue Prince is launching on the Switch 2. Even better, it'll be available later today."
"Highlights includes Denshattack, which looks like a long-lost Dreamcast cult classic as it mashes up Tony Hawk-style skateboarding with, uh, trains. It's launching on June 17th on the Switch 2, and a demo will be available in the eShop today."
"The presentation lasted less than 20 minutes, but managed to cram in a surprising number of interesting games, which continues to be important for the Switch 2 moving forward. This week also sees the launch of the Pokémon spinoff Pokopia, but aside from that the lineup for first-party Switch 2 games is pretty slim."
Nintendo held an indie game showcase featuring diverse titles for Switch 2 and Switch platforms. Blue Prince, a puzzle game, launches today on Switch 2. Denshattack combines skateboarding with trains, releasing June 17th with a demo available immediately. My Little Puppy, an adventure game about a dog in the afterlife, launches May 29th on Switch. Additional titles include Heave Ho 2, Moonlighter 2, Woodo, Minishoot' Adventures, The Midnight Walk, Rotwood, Mixtape, Blighted, Deadzone: Rogue, and Toem 2, with release dates spanning from March through fall 2025 and into 2026. The 20-minute presentation demonstrated Nintendo's strategy of using third-party and indie games to strengthen Switch 2's launch lineup.
