Something Has Changed About Amazon Fire TV - And It's Actually Not Half Bad
"Previously, users only saw a generic "Learn More" button beneath an ad for a movie or show. You couldn't tell whether the content was free or carried a price tag. Now, Amazon introduced more buttons to make things less ambiguous. They launched buttons titled "Watch Free," "Watch Now," or "Watch Live" that are supposed to improve transparency."
"AFTVnews says, the first button indicates the content is free, although ad-supported that is accessed via one of Amazon's services, such as Prime Video or Amazon Fire TV Channels. "Watch Now," on the other hand, seems to indicate that the content is only free for Prime members. "Watch Live" is also only available for Prime members and adds no extra cost."
Amazon has updated Fire TV's interface with improved transparency regarding content availability. The most notable change involves replacing generic "Learn More" buttons with specific action buttons that clearly indicate content pricing. New buttons labeled "Watch Free," "Watch Now," and "Watch Live" now appear on ad banners across Fire TV devices. "Watch Free" indicates ad-supported content available through Prime Video or Fire TV Channels. "Watch Now" signifies content exclusive to Prime members at no additional cost. "Watch Live" shows live streams also available to Prime members. This adjustment addresses user frustration about unclear content pricing on advertisements.
