KEA's Retro NATTBAD Speaker Sounds as Good as It Looks
Briefly

NATTBAD is a Bluetooth speaker designed by Jon Eliason, resembling vintage radios while offering modern sound quality. Available in yellow, pink, and black, it aims to bring back family togetherness through music. It simplifies user experience with Bluetooth pairing and Spotify Tap functionality. This speaker is part of IKEA's broader initiative to create smart home products that emphasize ease of use and affordability, integrating with Matter for seamless smart home compatibility. The design intention merges nostalgic visuals with the practicality of contemporary technology.
When I designed NATTBAD Bluetooth speaker, I wanted to combine the look of old radios with the functions of a modern speaker - and make it a social hub in the home.
The idea is for the speaker to be a blend of stylish interior detail and modern technology that's easy to use.
Unlike the clunky, complicated tech setups we've all wrestled with, IKEA's smart home approach promises simplicity, compatibility, and affordability.
NATTBAD is a refreshingly low-stress, plug and play kind of speaker, with Bluetooth pairing, multi-speaker set up, and even Spotify Tap built in.
