"I've never been able to transfer my Mac workflow to the iPad. For a variety of small, but important reasons, I need a full operating system. And you can't run MacOS on an iPad. Or can you? Accessing MacOS in the cloud There are also a few odd bugs that I've had to work around (many related to user interface, and having to choose the best between my fingers on the screen, the , or the trackpad on the )"
I enjoy working remotely from foreign locations and prefer small, portable devices for travel. I am traveling in Spain and chose a 13-inch iPad Pro because it was easier to carry than a 16-inch laptop. The iPad cannot run macOS natively, so I used a cloud macOS service to replicate my Mac workflow. The cloud macOS setup had some user interface bugs but was functional and recommended for remote macOS needs. My iPhone hotspot proved unstable on the ground in Spain despite prior testing, while local Wi‑Fi worked reliably. Carrying a power bank and using a trusted VPN are essential.
