I just saw one of the coolest new smart locks in action at CES
"After gaining a lot of attention at CES 2025, Ultraloq is back at the showcase with new flagship products. The company has just announced the new Ultraloq Latch 7 Pro and Ultraloq Bolt Sense smart locks, dual flagship devices that lead the 2026 product catalog. Coming in the second quarter of the year, the Ultraloq Bolt Sense is a touch-free facial recognition smart lock that lets you walk up to your door and unlock it."
"Xthings is marketing this as a "walk up and enter" smart lock, as it also supports palm vein recognition. The Bolt Sense will support Wi-Fi and Matter. The Ultraloq Latch 7 Pro is a latch-style smart lock set to launch in the first quarter of 2026, designed to support Aliro, Matter over Thread, and Z-Wave. Also: These unassuming smart locks have a useful charging feature I've yet to see on the market The smart lock is finally available for purchase at $300."
Xthings released two flagship Ultraloq smart locks: the Latch 7 Pro and the Bolt Sense as 2026 flagships. The Bolt Sense is a touch-free facial recognition lock that enables walk-up unlocking, supports palm vein recognition, Wi‑Fi and Matter, and arrives in Q2 2026. The Latch 7 Pro is a latch-style lock launching in Q1 2026 and supports Aliro, Matter over Thread, and Z‑Wave. The Ultraloq Bolt Mission UWB is available now, uses ultra wideband (UWB) to unlock automatically when a compatible phone approaches, and is priced at $300. Xthings also introduced Ulticam security cameras, including a floodlight model and a Wi‑Fi HaLow model powered by Contextual AI.
