From May 2025, WhatsApp will no longer support iPhones running iOS 12, specifically models iPhone 5s, 6, and 6 Plus. Users of these devices were notified last year, requiring a minimum of iOS 15.1 to continue using the app. This change allows WhatsApp to leverage newer iOS features and optimizations. The company has given users a five-month notice to update their devices or risk losing access to both standard and business versions of the app.
