AMD delays Ryzen 9000 launch to August "out of an abundance of caution"
Briefly

AMD postponed the launch of its Ryzen 9000-series desktop processors due to quality issues. The 6- and 8-core models will now launch on August 8, and the 12- and 16-core models on August 15.
The delay was prompted by the initial production units not meeting quality standards. AMD aims to replace these units to ensure a high-quality experience for users.
Additional screening measures have been implemented for the Ryzen 9000 CPUs to address the quality issue, with no changes to the silicon or manufacturing process.
The Ryzen 9000-series CPUs will use the AM5 processor socket, marking the second generation to do so, aside from specific variations like the Ryzen 7000X3D CPUs.
