Amazon is set to launch Alexa Plus, a revamped version of its voice assistant, which utilizes generative AI for improved conversational interaction. Users with compatible Echo smart displays like the Echo Show 8, 10, 15, or 21 will have early access, allowing them to control various Echo devices, Fire TV devices, and access the feature through the web and app. However, older Echo models and certain devices like Sonos speakers will not support the upgrade initially. After the early access phase, a subscription fee will apply.
The new souped-up Alexa voice assistant, Alexa Plus, is scheduled to arrive in the next few weeks in an early access preview.
Powered by generative AI, Alexa Plus will understand and respond to natural language and remember your preferences.
