'This is my favourite time of the year' - Irish sisters on a mission to provide 1,500 Easter eggs to children in hospital
Briefly

Lauren and Ellamay Metcalfe launched a TikTok appeal for Easter eggs, gathering support from their Ballymun community and beyond. Their goal is to donate 1,500 chocolate eggs to Children's Health Ireland at Temple Street. As of the month-long campaign, they've collected 540 eggs. Challenges include restrictions at local shops limiting purchases. Lauren's previous experience stems from a childhood incident when she shared her Easter eggs with sick children. Her part-time job supports her in buying more eggs, earning her the nickname 'Easter bunny' at school.
"At the moment we have 540 Easter eggs and we're just trying to get as many this year as we can to get it bigger and bigger each year hopefully," Mr Metcalfe, (37), told the PA news agency.
"It's hard as a lot of shops will only let you buy a few eggs at a time. I went to one shop on the weekend and I got 372 Easter eggs but I had to do 93 different transactions, which was crazy."
"One teacher calls me the Easter bunny now every time he sees me. Another teacher is trying to help us get Easter eggs as he knows someone at Cadbury."
