The third annual Giob Geab event will return to the Galway Climate Festival in 2026, with presentation spots open for applicants. Galway City Council has opened applications for parties who want to share stories and projects that highlight sustainability efforts in a fun, relaxed setting. The event will feature a programme host and storytelling, wit, and cupla focal. Successful applicants will present for five minutes using five slides, focusing on climate action in unique and entertaining ways. The Giob Geab format follows a Japanese rapid-fire style and was introduced to the festival last year. Applications close on June 5, and the event runs Thursday, June 25 from 7pm to 10pm at the festival tent in Father Burke Park, funded by the Local Democracy Reporting scheme.
