Over 250k raised for homelessness during Big Busk for Focus Ireland

Live music events across Dublin, Limerick, Galway, and Cork raised more than €250,000 for Focus Ireland on Friday. Hundreds of performers, including professional musicians and school orchestras, contributed to this charitable cause aimed at ending homelessness, which currently affects over 15,000 people in Ireland. Focus Ireland's CEO, Pat Dennigan, expressed gratitude for the support, noting the fun yet impactful nature of the Big Busk event. Notably, Des Murphy, a homelessness survivor, performed and emphasized the need for community support through his music.
