A fundraiser called Cycle of Life launched at Kilbrin Sports and Social Club in Co Cork, bringing together family, friends, neighbours, teammates, and the wider community to honour Micheál Hallie O'Riordan, who died in November 2025. Friends and family will take on the Ring of Kerry Cycle on Saturday, July 4. The journey is meaningful because it mirrors the rhythm of life and Hallie’s own ups and downs. Funds raised will support mental health initiatives in local post-primary schools and the youth mental health charity JIGSAW, with a focus on building resilience in young people. Hallie’s sister Una Cremin described him as warm, kind, humorous, and deeply loved, while also noting that he struggled with mental health in recent years.

He found joy in the simple things in life, especially spending time with his nieces and nephews, sharing his love of sport, music, nature, travel and adventure, always encouraging others to enjoy life and believe in themselves.""
"However behind the smile and warmth that so many knew, Hallie struggled deeply with his mental health in recent years, losing his sense of direction and carrying burdens that became too heavy. Una continued: "The loss of Hallie has left a devastating void in the hearts of his family and friends. It has also reminded us how fragile life can become when some"
