The Eva Longoria Foundation will invest $1 million in UCLA’s Latino Policy and Politics Institute to support long-term, data-driven solutions. The partnership will run a three-year initiative focused on advancing Latina economic mobility. It will generate data on Latina entrepreneurs and workers and identify barriers to building wealth. The initiative will also train leaders and shift public understanding of Latina economic power. LPPI plans to establish a Latina Entrepreneurship Advisory Group and host Policy Pláticas to connect research with community leaders and decision-makers. The program will support the next generation through fellowships, mentorship, graduate research opportunities, and communications training.
"“This grant is going to fund a lot of the economic research and policy work for Latina entrepreneurs, because we need to know what our economic power is,” Longoria said at the Inc. Founders House Los Angeles."
