Sculpture with Colour (Oval Form) Pale Blue and Red, a significant artwork by Barbara Hepworth, will remain in the UK following a successful fundraising appeal that generated £3.8 million from the public and various foundations. Major contributions included £1.9 million from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and £750,000 from the Art Fund. The sculpture will be on permanent display at The Hepworth Wakefield in West Yorkshire. Originally acquired by collector Helen Sutherland in 1944, this artwork was given an export bar by the UK government to preserve its national heritage.
