Annacurra secured €69,400 in funding through the Community Climate Action Fund. The funding supports projects planned for the village in partnership with Annacurra GAA and LGFA, aimed at climate action and biodiversity. A new community biodiversity garden will be created beside Hazel Hill for community enjoyment. Annacurra Community Centre will receive upgrades including new external windows, doors, and insulation to improve comfort and energy efficiency for all users. Support and guidance were provided by Climate Action Officers with Wicklow County Council, along with assistance from the County Engineer’s team and continued support from a local councillor. The projects are planned for delivery for the benefit of the entire community.
"We are absolutely delighted to share the fantastic news that Annacurra has secured €69,400 in funding through the Community Climate Action Fund. A thank you also to County Engineer Avril Hill and her team, and to Councillor Pat Kennedy for their continued support and assistance."
