Around the Districts: Adamstown, Ballycullane and Bannow-Ballymitty
Adamstown ICA held an AGM on 13 May to appoint officers for the coming year. Liz Furlong was appointed President, Helen Furlong Vice President, Helene Forde Secretary, Mary Lawlor Vice Secretary, and Dympna Rochford Treasurer. Mary Lawlor became Grants Officer, and Sheelagh Delaney became PRO. Helen Furlong stepped down after a long term as President and was thanked for her work. ICA’s Got Talent took place on 23 April in Camross Hall with group singing, novelty acts, recitations, and dancing. Sheelagh Delaney and Callie Doyle won first place in group singing with “As Old Friends Do.” Track and field Community Games were scheduled for 22 May at Adamstown Community Centre, with registration from 5.30pm and events for multiple age groups.

"The ICA's Got Talent competition was held in Camross Hall on Wed 23rd April. There was a great turnout. There were various acts, from group singing to novelty acts, recitations, & dancing. Congratulations to Sheelagh Delaney & Callie Doyle who came 1st in the group singing, with their rendition of 'As Old Friends Do'. Sheelagh also performed 'Warning' by Jenny Joseph. Well done ladies! We had a great night's entertainment."
