UCLA's athletic department is currently addressing a $219.5-million financial deficit following six consecutive years of losses. Under the leadership of Daniel Cruz, a former Disney executive, the department is modernizing its ticketing operations, developing premium seating, and enhancing fan engagement strategies. A new partnership with Elevate will help update ticketing systems, targeting customer engagement to improve revenue. The goal is to satisfy fansâ needs through innovative concepts that differ from traditional methods of managing college athletics, ultimately aiming to secure the department's financial future.
Essentially, what I'm trying to do is just trying to set us up for success and do things differently, because the old way of how college athletics normally conducts business, it's not working.
UCLA is switching from its longstanding in-house ticketing agency to Elevate, which will modernize operations and build a customer database that allows more targeted marketing.
