"While we don't object to the Olympic rings staying a little longer after the Paralympics, the Eiffel Tower shouldn't serve as an advertising antenna," Berthelot-Eiffel added, highlighting concerns about the tower's historical context.
"SOS Paris has criticized Hidalgo, stating that such permanent changes to iconic heritage sites should involve consultation with local authorities and experts to balance celebration with preservation."
