Nearly four months after Bashar al-Assad was ousted, Syria has established a new 23-member transitional government aimed at restoring stability after over a decade of conflict. This cabinet, recognized for its diverse representation, marks the country's first government formed during this transitional phase. Notably, it operates under a temporary constitution that does not include a prime minister. The formation was announced just before Eid-al-Fitr, with key government figures from previous administrations maintaining their roles, as new leaders pledge to build a unified state and a professional army.
The formation of a new government today is a declaration of our joint will to build a new state.
