Just weeks after hosting the Olympics, Paris began the final chapter of its summer of sports with the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games, with President Macron officially declaring them open.
Thousands of athletes paraded down the famed Champs-Elysees to Place de la Concorde, where accessibility for athletes was ensured with laid strips of asphalt.
The parade included more than 4,000 athletes with impairments competing in 22 sports, marking a significant event in the celebration of sportsmanship and inclusivity.
The ceremony was a vibrant showcase of national pride, as fighter planes flew overhead leaving vapor trails in the colors of the French flag, symbolizing unity and celebration.
