Tens of thousands gathered in Paris and other French cities to protest against racism and the rise of the far right, amidst tightening immigration policies by the government. The protests aligned with the International Day against Racism and Fascism, with nearly 91,000 participants nationwide. Some demonstrators expressed concerns about the impact of U.S. politics, while clashes between police and protestors resulted in injuries and arrests. Many carried placards highlighting the global nature of the far-right resurgence, signaling an urgent need for action against these political trends.

It's scary because in France we see far-right ideas becoming more and more commonplace, even among ministers in this government.
Similar demonstrations should be taking place in the United States.
