Starting June 6th, several French TV channels will be rearranged in the electronic programme guide (EPG) due to regulatory changes. The Autorité de régulation de la communication audiovisuelle et numérique (Arcom) declined to renew broadcast licenses for channels C8 and NRJ12, prompting Canal Plus to pull its services from standard digital terrestrial television. As a result, viewers will see new channel placements: France 4 will now be at channel 4, and LCP Assemblée nationale/Public Sénat will move to number 8. Most changes will occur automatically overnight, but users may need to remember new numbers.
From June 6th, French TV channels are changing places on the electronic programme guide, requiring viewers to remember new channel numbers but no retuning is needed.
The changes are a result of the regulator Arcom's decision not to renew the licenses of channels C8 and NRJ12, prompting Canal Plus to withdraw its services.
