Twenty-four individuals suspected of aiding French drug lord detained
Briefly

The recent detainment of 24 individuals linked to French drug dealer Mohamed Amra marks the fourth wave of arrests since his capture in Romania. Amra, who had been on the run for nine months, is currently held in a high-security prison. Among those arrested is rapper Koba LaD, who has ties to Amra and the criminal 'Black Manjak Family.' The arrested individuals are suspected of various levels of involvement in Amra's dramatic escape, which included a violent ambush on a police convoy resulting in fatalities and injuries.
To date, 27 individuals, as well as Amra himself, have been indicted by magistrates at the Paris Judicial Court.
Amra's escape from police custody was a violent one; armed men ambushed a prison convoy in Normandy, killing two guards and injuring three others.
Koba LaD, a 24-year-old rapper with more than three million followers on Instagram, is reportedly one of the suspects in police custody.
The individuals are suspected of having assisted Amra with a range of things, from helping him hide in an apartment in Rouen, to preparing the ambush.
