Jonas Vingegaard was taken to hospital with a broken collarbone and several broken ribs after a high-speed crash during Itzulia Basque Country.
Remco Evenepoel and Primoz Roglic, among 12 riders involved, also suffered injuries from the incident, with six riders needing hospitalization.
