'Directives Anticipées' are legally binding advance directives available in France, allowing individuals to detail their healthcare preferences if they become unable to communicate. Established in 2016, these directives focus on medical treatment at the end of life. While France does not currently permit assisted dying, these documents empower patients to define their choices regarding treatment and resuscitation.
