Traveling abroad often results in improved health and mood for many individuals due to differences in food quality. Numerous people report feeling healthier and experiencing less inflammation when consuming European foods, like in Italy and France. Even with dietary restrictions, many have managed better health outcomes overseas while often consuming foods like gluten and sugar that they avoid back home. This phenomenon raises frustration regarding the US food system, with travelers expressing deep dissatisfaction with the foods available in their home country.
I'm just so mad at the food in the US. I left for two weeks to Italy. My mood was better, my awareness was better. I could eat wheat...I had some of the best food, best health feelings I've ever had in my life.
We just spent a month between France and Italy. I ate a metric ton of carbs, full fat dairy, sugar, etc. and lost 6 lbs.
My mom (Canadian) has endless gut issues and is gluten intolerant, too. Every time she goes to Spain, her stomach stays flat and she feels great.
