Upon arriving in Highgate, I sought a tranquil green space and discovered Queen's Wood Cafe tucked away within Queen’s Wood. This charming cafe, made of timber and designed to blend with nature, provided a warm atmosphere away from the city hustle. Inside, the inviting decor included wooden tables, local artwork, and even canine amenities, demonstrating a welcoming approach to pets. I opted for the homemade quiche special, enjoying the café's rustic and community-focused vibe rather than my initial plan of frequenting a chain coffee shop.
The cafe's cosy atmosphere welcomed me instantly with lights hanging between exposed wooden beams, casting a soft glow that made the grey morning feel warmer.
Inside, wooden tables and simple chairs created an unpretentious and lived-in feel, while the walls showcased local artwork and community notices.
