Community groups, precincts, schools, hospitals and nonprofit organizations are offering free Thanksgiving meals and food distributions across New York City from Nov. 22 through Nov. 27. Events include hot meal handouts, potlucks, turkey and hot food giveaways, pre-made family meals, and on-the-go dinner distributions at multiple neighborhood locations. Offerings occur in Brooklyn, the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens and Coney Island with varied serving times and locations. Specific hosts include Sprout Society, NYPD Community Affairs teams, Krispy Kuts, St. Clare Catholic Academy, Jacobi North Central Bronx, Community Kitchen, the Coney Island Alliance, Rev. Al Sharpton's National Action Network, and the Bowery Mission.
