Storied SF culinary institution Rich Table expands with casual RT Rotisserie and cozy RT Bistro
"Rich Table is a chef-driven, really fantastic restaurant where we go to the market, we see what's good and we cook it. We let our backgrounds speak for themselves,"
"I knew we wanted to open a restaurant. I knew at some point we'd have a family. And I knew those things mean kind of, you're sticking where you are. And I just wasn't sure New York was where I wanted to live for the rest of my life. And we decided on San Francisco and took a chance,"
"We kind of thought to ourselves, maybe we can create something that's a little bit more approachable, but fresh. We were thinking a lot about how we like to eat at home,"
Rich Table has been a San Francisco fixture for nearly 14 years, emphasizing fresh ingredients and hearty, unique homestyle recipes. Evan and Sarah Rich combined over 30 years of culinary experience and complementary regional backgrounds to create a comfortable, chef-driven dining environment rooted in market-driven, seasonal cooking. Strong Bay Area community support enabled expansion into two additional concepts: Rotisserie, focused on approachable home-style cooking, and RT Bistro, focused on simple, seasonal, slightly more upscale dishes. The couple operates all three locations while balancing family life, intentionally shaping their world around both work and home.
