The Independent sends reporters to cover issues including reproductive rights, climate change, and Big Tech and relies on reader donations to fund on-the-ground journalism while keeping content free of paywalls. The outlet investigates items such as political PAC financials and produces documentaries highlighting American women fighting for reproductive rights. Asda has recalled its 10 Mini Duck Spring Rolls with Hoisin Dip (220g) because the product bore an incorrect Use By date, labelled 29 December instead of 29 November 2025.
