"South Londoners who haven't yet given up on eating healthier in 2026, we've got good news: a brand new weekly farmers' market is about to open in Peckham. The aptly named Peckham Farmers' Market has been in the works since last summer, and its organisers have finally announced an official launch date. From January 24, the market will pop up at Belham Primary School every Saturday between 9.30am and 3pm."
"'For too long, high-quality, nutrient-dense produce has felt out of reach... We're changing that. 'By removing the traditional intermediaries, we connect you with the people who grow, harvest and catch your food, meaning produce that's fresher, naturally grown and richer in taste.' But it's not just quality produce that the market hopes to bring to Peckham. It also wants to become a way of bringing together the neighbourhood, offering 'a vibrant community hub for locals to reconvene, unwind [and] connect' with one another."
"The market already has 25 confirmed vendors. One stall will be selling a range of Mediterranean picky-bits. Another, The French Comté, is packed full of cheese, while Wild Country Organics, a Cambridge farm, will offer more than 40 different types of tomato. According to the organisers, you'll be able to do your entire weekly shop here in one go, making it much easier to access the 'freshest, most nourishing food' money can buy."
The Peckham Farmers' Market opens on January 24 at Belham Primary School and will run every Saturday from 9.30am to 3pm. The market prioritizes natural, seasonal and ethically farmed produce grown without pesticides. Offerings include grass-fed beef, free-range eggs, day-boat fish and a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. Twenty-five vendors are confirmed, including stalls selling Mediterranean small plates, The French Comté cheeses and over 40 tomato varieties from Wild Country Organics. The market enables shoppers to complete a weekly shop on site. Organisers remove traditional intermediaries to deliver fresher, naturally grown produce and intend the market to act as a local community hub.
