The USDA expressed concern that consumers may still have the product in their freezers and advised returning any remaining pizzas to Trader Joe's for a refund.
LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The Department of Agriculture has issued a public health alert for frozen pizza from Trader Joe's. The company alerted the USDA that the "Uncured Pepperoni Pizza" was not presented for reinspection by the Food and Safety Inspection Service. The item was sold at stores across California. So far, there haven't been any reports of it causing illness, but the retailer has since stopped selling the item.
