EV Loves NYC is a nonprofit based in the East Village that provides meals, groceries, and job-training to New Yorkers facing food insecurity. The organization operates a community-commissary kitchen on Sundays that supplies 2,000 to 2,500 meals and a weekday program, Cafewal, that teaches restaurant skills and long-term employment abilities. The kitchen offers diverse, culturally representative foods, including West African dishes. In 2025, the organization served over 150,000 nutrient-dense hot meals. Since April 2020, the organization reports 675,000 hot meals served and more than nine million pounds of groceries distributed.
