
"The fast food giant says it is bringing back Extra Value Meals, a concept that McDonald's launched in 1991 but discontinued in 2019. Representatives say that prices will be around $6 for a Sausage McMuffin meal and $9 for a Big Mac Meal in "select markets including Southern California." Other markets may get lower prices. A news release from corporate headquarters in Chicago gives $5 and $8 prices for the same meals."
"Currently a Sausage McMuffin Meal with hash browns and coffee runs about $8.79-$9.29, according to a spot check of Southern California restaurants on the McDonald's app. A medium Big Mac meal with fries and a soft drink runs about $10.39-$10.99. Other items in the Extra Value breakfast menu will include Egg McMuffins, Sausage Egg & Cheese McGriddles and Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuits, the news release said. Lunch and dinner items include 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, Quarter Pounders and McCrispy sandwiches."
